The Bio Box is the only environmentally friendly packaging option for disc media available in Australia.

During manufacture of the Bio Box we include a specially formulated degradant catalyst which when added to polypropylene renders the end DVD packaging product "Oxo-Biodegradable".

The Ausmag Bio Box will decompose under four environmental factors, these are;
1) Photo-degradation – due to light
2) Hydrolysis degradation – due to water
3) Bio-degradation – due to living organism
4) Oxidative degradation – due to reaction with oxygen

Subsequently all Ausmag Bio Box products will totally degrade in to carbon dioxide, water and a benign, non toxic residue which is then totally assimilated back in to nature.

The Bio Box will be available from Ausmag Media from March 2008.
